As an author/publisher, I will be experimenting a little with my next book release. A Wolf Also Cries, the Wolves of Stormfall Prequel, will be the first and only novel in the Stormfall universe to be published simultaneously as an eBook across multiple sites.
It will be available through Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HHF4WNLZ
Barnes and Noble:

And Kobo:

This was a difficult decision to make. As an indie author, Amazon's Kindle Unlimited provides over half of the sales for each of the other novels in the Stormfall universe - and a book cannot be offered on Kindle Unlimited and on competing book sales sites at the same time. Amazon was and remains the largest online book retailer in the world. That Kindle Unlimited revenue would be very difficult to replace without a far larger marketing budget than most indie authors can contemplate.
The reasoning for marketing the Prequel in this fashion was therefore to hopefully draw interest to the series across a wider audience, while still maintaining the other books exclusively through Amazon. Hopefully this dual-track strategy pays off in the long run.
